A powerful anthem about a brotherhood that survived when life sent two people down different roads.Family circumstances may have changed, but the bond between brothers never did.Through victories, broken dreams, laughter and pain, they continued to stand together.Back to back and shield to shield, neither walks away when the battle becomes difficult.Like David and Jonathan, their loyalty runs deeper than circumstance or bloodlines. If one should fall, the other will carry his name and honour his legacy.A brotherhood tested by life, strengthened through battle and forever forged in fire.
LYRICS
“Verse 1” Though family ties were rearranged, And the fork in the road sent us apart, No matter where life led us, You remained my brother for life. “Pre-Chorus” Back to back in battle Shield to shield forevermore No retreat and no surrender, Till we stand no more. “Chorus” Like David and Jonathan Together we make our stand! Like a brand upon the hide, Our oath forged in fire FORGED IN FIRE FORGED IN FIRE “Verse 2” Through victories and broken dreams, Through laughter and the pain, We proved that true brotherhood Outlives both loss and gain. “Pre-Chorus” Back to back in battle Shield to shield forevermore No retreat and no surrender, Till we stand no more. “Chorus” Like David and Jonathan Together we make our stand! Like a brand upon the hide, Our oath forged in fire FORGED IN FIRE FORGED IN FIRE “Bridge” “If you fall, I carry your name.” “If I fall, carry mine.” “Pre-Chorus” No retreat and no surrender, Till we stand no more. No retreat and no surrender, Till we stand no more. Chorus” Like David and Jonathan Together we make our stand! Like a brand upon the hide, Our oath forged in fire “Outro” Like David… And Jonathan… Forever.
